We are currently recruiting trainers in the following Counties:

Greater London, Kent, Essex, Northamptonshire, Nottinghamshire, Leicestershire, Lincolnshire, Derbyshire, West Midlands, Warwickshire, Worcestershire, Staffordshire, Shropshire & Herefordshire.



We stipulate that all trainers delivering the DDRS course on our behalf MUST hold the following qualifications and experience as a minimum requirement:

Qualifications
  • Full driving licence
  • A nationally recognised teaching qualification at Level 3 or above.
  • Level 3 Substance Misuse Qualification gained within six months of induction training.

Experience
  • Experience of delivering training sessions to adults
  • Experience of facilitating behavioural change programmes with adults 
  • Extensive knowledge of the Highway Code (Approved Driving Instructors preferred)

Training
  • Completion of a full day induction-training and ongoing training days, at least once every year. 
  • Complete initial courses at a reduced rate, so to ‘train on the job’ with one of our more experienced trainers guiding you, until a time when you are confident to deliver the course without support.

Interpersonal skills

  • Skills to relate to clients in one-to-one and group settings
  • Skills to challenge attitudes constructively
  • Skills to encourage individuals and groups to participate fully 

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
  • Understanding of theories underlying behavioural change techniques 
  • Administration skills
  • IT skills, including PowerPoint
  • The ability to explore different scenarios with experienced drivers 
  • Enthusiasm and the ability to motivate positive change
