The DVSA have now advised DDR course providers that all classroom-based rehabilitation courses can resume. Full online courses will not be available at the present time. HOWEVER, due to some venues not yet being open to the public and because some of our trainers are still shielding, we are still having to postpone many of our courses. If this applies to a course that you are booked on to, we will contact you by email (if not already) to advise you accordingly (please check your junk mail).
If you are yet to hear from us, please be patient as we are working hard to contact everybody.
All re-scheduled / new classroom based courses will have to satisfy our risk assessment and be 'COVID-secure' in line with government guidelines.
Part Online courses
We are now able to offer some online courses, though day 1 of the course must still be completed in the classroom. All of our available part online courses are marked * in the title on our booking pages, but please be aware that they are very limited and will be offered first to any clients waiting for a courses to be re-scheduled.
Online course guidelines :
. Have a basic knowledge of using Zoom or similar video conferencing software.
. Have a strong wifi signal (in our experience 4G signals are not reliable enough).
. Due to the confidentiality of other clients, you must be alone when the training session starts and others must not be able to view your computer / mobile phone.
. Use the video and audio facilities at all times during the course and be in full view of the camera
. Participate fully, filling in any questionnaires or your workbook when asked
. Choose a room which is quiet and away from other family members or pets
. Have no distractions i.e TVs, music, children, pets, communication devices including mobile phones (unless it is being used for the course)
. Recording equipment must be switched off
. Pay full attention to the course (no multitasking)
. Be indoors but not in a car, workplace or a public place
. Do not move around the room, unless on a break
. Use headphones and a microphone if available
. Do not drink alcohol or be under the influence of drink or drugs
Because we are still working with reduced office staff and from home we ask that you be patient for a reply when contacting our office. Replies should be expected with 24-48 hours on any working day.
For those who have attended court since 13/3/2020, we are now able to offer some courses for late this year and next year. Letters are being posted with a course offer as soon as our venues open and we are able to arrange dates. N.B because we use many schools for our training days, there is still a delay in arranging bookings.
We thank you for your patience and predict that everyone should be in receipt of a course offer by the end of September.
We appreciate that this is a stressful time for our clients, particularly if you are fast approaching the date set by the court to complete your course. We can assure all of our clients that we are doing our upmost to help as many people as possible to complete the course.
Thank you for your patience during this challenging time.
